Studio update #18

This is already the 18th update about the construction of our new studio. We have been making progress every week.

In this news post, we would like to put one person into the spotlight, one who has been the backbone for the construction of the studio and without whom we couldn’t have done it.

We call him the Woodmaster, but actually he’s great at everything. An all-round handyman but also an extremely funny guy: Rudy. 

For more than 18 months he has been driving to Waalwijk with his family on his free Sundays to work on the studio. Now that the interior has been completed, he can finally enjoy his well-earned holiday.

Roy: I’ve learned so much the last year from Rudy and I will continue to do so. Besides being my brother-in-law he is also a big part of my life. My family have always supported me on this journey and were always ready to help. I’m very grateful for that and also for the great fun we have building the studio.

The final to-do list is coming to an end. We know which tasks still need to be done before we can open the studio. 

The DJ booth is ready, except for the front lighting. Behind the DJ booth we made a compartment for a small fridge and a place to keep your bag, painted and everything.

The welding of the truss beams has been completed. After spraying it black, they are ready to be hung onto the ceiling. Then the power cables and the like can be put into place.

Some more LEDs have been added to the studio. Because you never have enough LEDs, right?!

The air conditioning has also been mounted to the wall and on the roof. The emergency exit sign has been put into place.

As one of the last steps, we need to complete some of the painting on the doors, and then we will be ready to add the floor. Some work also needs to be done on the exterior of the building afterwards.

We hope to complete even more sub-tasks in August and do our best to complete the studio as soon as possible.
